This paper deals with the application and an example of counseling preaching. After the discussing the theories and justification of counseling preaching, I proposed an example of counseling preaching. I states that in terms of the potential of counseling preaching, the question of whether or not there is a difference between counseling preaching and the existing regular preaching; there is no difference between the two in function or in form. So there is no point in differentiating the two and thus using the term counseling preaching is meaningless. Regardless of the sermon topic the existing sermon form serves as a way of counseling. Therefore there is no need to call it counseling preaching. Regardless of the topic of the sermon, if there is to be counseling through the sermon we must assume two things. Firstly, there must be insight about the spiritual inspiration of the churchgoer`s lives. Second, emphasis had been placed on the importance of building rapport between the audience and the preacher.
