A thesis has been studied for the identification of biblical counseling based on a concept of Sanctification and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. In other words, the focal point of counseling should be; when a counselee seeks advice from a counselor, the advice given should not only solve the problem at hand but also be life changing to the counselee. In order to do so, the advice given should be based on Sanctification and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. The importance of advice based on the Sanctification and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit is crucial. The method in which to achieve a satisfactory result should not rely on the skill of the Counselor, but should be based on a standard which holds Sanctification and the Fruit of the Holy Spirit at the heart of it. This research has looked into the biblical interpretation of Sanctification and The Fruit of the Holy Spirit in regards to Pastoral Counseling. There should be great emphasis placed on understanding and recognizing the Counselor`s identity.
