본 연구는 청년의 자존감이 상담에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는지를 고찰하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울 창동에 위치한 염광교회의 청년부에 출석하는 청년 100명이며, 사용한 측정도구는 자존감 척도(SEI)와 상담에 대한 태도 척도(ASPPH)이다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 신앙생활이 자존감에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 신앙생활 중에서 예배생활과 말씀생활이 자존감의 하위척도 중 교회적 자존감과 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 둘째, 신앙생활 중에서 Q·T생활이 상담에 대한 태도와 정적 상관관계가 있었다. 그리고 예배생활과 Q·T생활이 상담에 대한 태도의 하위척도 중 도움에 대한 필요성 인식과 정적 상관관계가 있었다. Q·T생활이 예배생활 보다 더 높은 상관을 보였다. 셋째, 자존감과 상담에 대한 태도는 뚜렷한 정적 상관관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 하위척도 별로는 일반적 자존감과 사회적 자존감, 교회적 자존감이 낙인에 대한 내인성, 자신의 문제에 대한 개방성, 전문가에 대한 신뢰와 높은 상관관계가 있음을 볼 수 있었다. 그리고, 낙인에 대한 내인성, 자신의 문제에 대한 개방성, 전문가에 대한 신뢰에서 자존감의 높고 낮음에 따라 차이가 발견되었다. 이 상의 결과를 정리하면 신앙생활에서 Q·T생활이 도움에 대한 필요성을 인식하는 데 영향을 미치며, 자존감은 낙인에 대한 내인성, 자신의 문제에 대한 개방성, 전문가에 대한 신뢰에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있다. 그러나 신앙생활 보다는 자존감이 상담에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향이 더 크다. 본 연구를 통해 크리스천의 신앙생활이 상담에 대한 태도의 변인으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 또한 성경적 상담 분야에서도 상담에 대한 태도에 관한 연구가 활발히 이루어지기를 기대한다.
This study researches how the youth`s self-esteem affects to the attitudes toward counseling. As the object of the study, 100 young people were chosen, who attend at the youth service of the Yeom Kwang church located in Chang Dong, Seoul. SEI (Self-Esteem Inventory) and ASPPH (Attitudes toward seeking professional Psychological help ) are taken as measurements of the survey. The analysis shows these results. First, religious life doesn`t affect to their self -esteem. However, going to church and reading the Bible regularly have more positive correlation with church self-esteem in the low-rank scale of self-esteem. Second, having Q. T in one`s religious life has a positive correlation with the attitudes toward counseling. Going to church regularly and having Q. T have more positive correlation with the recognition of seeking help in the low-rank scale of the attitude toward counseling. Having Q. T is more connected with their self-esteem than going to church regularly. Lastly, self-esteem and the attitude toward counseling clearly have positive correlation. General self-esteem, social self-esteem and church self-esteem have highly positive correlation with endogenous trait about branding themselves, openness about their problems, trusting in counseling experts. According to high and low of their self-esteem, the result also shows a big difference. To put things simply, Q. T in one`s religious life has an effect on the recognition of seeking help. Also self-esteem influences to endogenous trait about branding themselves, openness about their problems, trusting in counseling experts. As the result, self-esteem has more influence than religious life on the young people`s attitude toward counseling. I expect that Christians` religious life attributes to the attitudes toward counseling as one of variable causes through this study. I hope studies on the attitudes toward counseling conduct actively in the biblical counseling field.
