한국사회는 스스로 목숨을 끊는 어려운 상황에 처해 있는 많은 사람들이 존재한다. 급변하는 사회 속에서 갈 바를 알지 못 하는 이들이 겪는 고민과 상처들을 상담학적으로 어떻게 치유하고 자살로 이어지는 상황을 상담학적으로 고찰하는데 본 논문의 목적이 있다. 자살의 기본적인 정의와 상태를 설명하고 자살을 앞두고 있는 사람들의 징후 및 그들을 위한 상담적 치유방안을 모색하였다. 더불어 자살을 시도했거나 자살한 사람들의 가족을 위한 상담학적 접근 또한 기술하였다. 결국 상담은 처한 가족들의 문제이기도 하지만 사회 전체가 치유방안을 두고 고민하여야 할 문제, 특별히 교회가 나서야 할 문제임을 명시하고 방법론적인 생각을 함께 본 글에서 나누었다.
There are many people who committed suicide in Korean society nowadays. They are in real difficult situations. The purpose of this thesis is considering the matter carefully how Biblical Counseling can heal their worry and hurts and what draws the people to die even they don`t know where to go in this rapidly changing society. I described the definition and condition of suicide, and find the symptoms of someone who about to commit suicide and the counseling therapy plan for them. After all, Biblical Counseling is something about not only the family who are in the difficult situations but our society has to deal with the solutions. Especially Korean Church has to take action to settle the problems.
