This thesis contemplates why prophecy ministry is still needed as biblical counseling these days and what is its role as well as problems.
To do so, the meaning of biblical counseling, the theological base of prophecy ministry, and the relationship between biblical counseling and spiritual gifts are the first to be examined.
Also, based on this, not only the contents of prophecy ministry as biblical counseling but also the limitations of prophecy ministry are further scrutinized.
Presuming the love of God and the love for neighbors being a precondition, the biblical consultation is helping christians to act right as a disciple of Christ who is able to encourage and love people for the sound relationship to God as well as to neighbors.
This attitude is a right starting point and the end.
Of course, it is possible to say that seeing various and complicated human matters only with a biblical view point is problematic.
Especially, it is proper to use a biblical approach and solution as a main counselling method for Christian clients.
At this moment, it is appropriate to adopt Adam’s bible-oriented, encouraging counselling saying that “It is necessary to heal spiritual problems through implementing a biblical principle as a principle of counselling and to help people to live by every word of God.
However, although it is possible to use other counselling methods depending on the situations and characteristics of a client, it is important to apply them carefully and precisely based on a “biblical means.”
The author carefully acknowledges the function of prophecy ministry as one of biblically consulting methods. This is because God offers a service as a sign that he gives blessing to a community and not only exists but also works in order to develop it.
