Living for Approval Conference (사람들의 인정을 극복하는 삶 컨퍼런스)

Living for approval–or for love, significance, respect, acceptance–is a universal human experience. Why do we live this way? How do we get help? People—their opinions, words or actions—can control us. They control us because of:

사람들의 인정을 받고자 하는 삶은 사랑과 신뢰와 존경과 용납을 받고자 하는 삶이다. 그런 면에서 그것은 총체적인 인간 경험이기도 하다. 그렇지만 왜 우리는 이러한 방식으로 살아가는가? 우리는 어떤 진정한 도움을 받을 수 있는가? 사람들의 여러가지 생각과 말과 행동이 우리를 지배한다. 그것들은 우리를 통제하기도 한다. 그 이유는 다음과 같다.

• What we want (love, respect, approval...)   사실 그것이 우리가 원하는 것이기 때문이다 ( 사랑, 존경, 인정)
  
• What we have done (failure, sin, weakness...)  사실 우리가 지금도 하고 있는 일이기 때문이다 (실패, 죄악, 연약함)
  
• What others have done to us (shame, victimization...) 사실 다른 사람들이 현재 우리에게 하고 있는 일이기 때문이다 (수치심, 피해의식)
  

Jesus speaks to these dominating struggles with depth and hope in a way that surpasses any other attempts to help. Join us as we learn to let go of what people think and experience the freedom of God’s acceptance.

그리스도께서는 이러한 사람들의 인정을 극복하는 삶을 위한 모든 힘겨운 갈등들에 대해서 깊은 이해와 소망을 가지시고 어떤 다른 도움과 차별되는 방식으로 우리에게 말씀하고 계신다. 우리는 세상 사람들이 생각하는 것을 내려놓고 하나님의 용납해주심의 자유를 누리는 방법을 배우고자 한다. 이러한 일에 동참하여 보라.

The Living for Approval Conference will be held on Friday, February 26 (6:45-9 pm) and Saturday, February 27 (9 am-Noon) at Church of the Saviour in Wayne, PA.

'인정을 위해 사는 삶' 컨퍼런스는 펜실베니아주 웨인에 있는 예수 구세주 교회에서 2월 26일 금요일 오후 6:45부터 9시까지, 그리고 2월 27일 토요일 오전 9시부터 오후12시까지 열립니다.

Additional Details:

• Childcare: Childcare will be provided by Church of the Saviour at a rate of $25 per child which covers childcare for the entirety of the conference. Any childcare questions can be directed to Church of the Saviour by emailing Janice Shehan at janices@cosnet.org.

• Worship: Our worship will be led by Bethany Brooks, worship leader at City Church Philadlelphia and producer of the Quarry Street Hymnal. 

• Refreshments: Coffee and refreshments will be provided at breaks, and a light assortment of continental breakfast items will be provided on Saturday morning.

• Hotel Accommodations: A small number of rooms have been discounted at the Wayne Hotel. Book online or call (610) 587-5000 to reserve your room. Please refer to the CCEF/Church of the Saviour conference to receive the discount. 

• Refunds: Registration cancellations will receive refunds less a $10 administrative fee through Monday, February 15th, after which no refunds will be given.
