미국 웨스트민스터 성경적 상담의 역동성이 확장되는 원리연구

미국 웨스트민스터 신학대학원에서 연구한 성경적 상담의 역동성 그림은 성경적인 변화의 과정을 설명하는 중요한 내용입니다. 이것은 예레미야 17장 7,8절의 내용(물 가에 심어진 나무가 그 뿌리를 강변에 뻗치고..)을 바탕으로 해서 성경적인 변화의 근원이 무엇이며 과정이 어떤 것인지를 잘 보여주고 있습니다. 이속에 담긴 뜻은 하나님을 의지할 때만이 마음의 새로움을 받아서 생활의 변화를 누릴 수 있다는 의미입니다. 소원상담센터의 윤홍식 목사는 이러한 역동성의 원리에 근거하여 삶의 변화를 더욱 확장적으로 설명할 수 있는 다양한 도형과 상담원리를 마련했습니다. 

 

역동성을 중심으로 해서 뇌구조와 인체의 원리를 고려할 때 좌측으로 사고의 조직도와 구성도를 마련하였습니다.  그리고 그것이 뇌구조의 모식도와 인체의 신경계와 어떠한 관계가 있는지를 도형으로 표현하였습니다. 역동성은 몸의 변화를 이룰 수 있는 모든 새로운 생각과 신앙적인 발전의 방향을 보여주는 근거이자 토대입니다. 이렇게 역동성의 의미를 사고의 조직과 구성으로 이해할 때 뇌구조에 따른 사고의 확장이 이루어지고 그것이 신체의 신경계에 영향을 미쳐서 신자나 비신자에게 모두 적용되는 정신적인 문제를 해결하는 방법이 됩니다. 

또한 사고 자체의 미세함과 내용의 복잡함을 고려할 때 우측으로 문제유형의 종류와 인생경험의 분야를 구성하였습니다. 이것은 잠언4:23(생명의 근원이 이에서 남이니라..)의 말씀을 시각적으로 표현한 내용이 됩니다. 이러한 원리에 따라서 상담단계의 8가지 주제가 형성되고 그러한 주제를 잘 따라갈 때 확장적인 사고를 할 수 있게 되어서 이전의 악순환의 사망을 이루는 생각에서 선순환의 변화와 생명을 이루는 생각을 만들 수 있습니다. 그것이 확실하게 마음의 변화를 이루는 과정이 된다는 것은 사고체계가 어떤 식으로 이루어지는가를 선순환 사고와 악순환 사고로 구별했을 때 잘 나타납니다. 그래서 사고방식이 달라지면 활동내용이 달라지고 그것이 삶의 변화를 이루게 되는 구체적인 내용이 되는 것입니다. 

이러한 역동성의 확장 원리를 통해서 성경적 상담은 인생문제와 위기문제, 그리고 정신문제를 해결할 수 있습니다. 미국 웨스트민스터의 역동성에 근거한 성경적 상담이 하나님을 믿는 신앙과 하나님께서 만드신 창조의 섭리에 따라서 변화와 발전을 이룰 수 있다는 것을 생각하면서 성경적 상담의 방식으로 더욱 삶의 문제의 해결과 발전을 이루어 보시기를 기원합니다.

The diagram of the dynamics of biblical counseling, developed at Westminster Theological Seminary in the United States, provides a valuable insight into the process of biblical change. Based on Jeremiah 17:7-8 ("A tree planted by the water spreads out its roots by the river"), it clearly illustrates the source and process of biblical change. The underlying message is that only by relying on God can we experience a renewed heart and experience a transformation in our lives. Based on this principle of dynamics, Pastor Hong-sik Yoon of the Sowon Counseling Center has developed various diagrams and counseling principles to further expand the explanation of life change.

Focusing on dynamics, considering the principles of brain structure and the human body, he has created a diagram of the organization and structure of thought on the left. He also uses diagrams to illustrate the relationship between this diagram and the brain structure and the nervous system. Dynamism is the foundation and basis for all new thoughts and the direction of religious development that can bring about physical transformation. When we understand the meaning of dynamism as the organization and structure of thought, the expansion of thought occurs according to brain structure, and this influences the body's nervous system, providing a way to resolve mental issues applicable to both believers and non-believers.

Furthermore, considering the subtlety and complexity of thought itself, the categories of problem types and areas of life experience are organized on the right. This serves as a visual representation of Proverbs 4:23 (For out of it flow the issues of life). Based on this principle, eight themes of the counseling process are formed. Following these themes effectively enables expansive thinking, transforming the previous vicious cycle of death-inducing thoughts into a virtuous cycle of life-giving thoughts. This process of genuine change in the heart is clearly demonstrated by distinguishing between virtuous and vicious cycles of thought. Therefore, a change in thinking leads to a change in the content of activities, which in turn become concrete actions that bring about life-changing changes.

Through this principle of expanding dynamism, biblical counseling can resolve life's problems, crises, and mental health issues. Grounded in the dynamics of Westminster, biblical counseling can achieve change and development based on faith in God and God's providence of creation.
